Manual for DALI-Gateway DG/S 8.1

The DALI-Gateway DG/S 8.1 acts as a link between DALI equipment and KNX systems. It features 8 DALI outputs, supporting up to 16 DALI devices per channel and a total of 128 devices. Functions include switching, dimming, setting brightness, and monitoring lamp/ballast errors. It supports 16 light scenes and has a slave mode for constant lighting control. The device is DIN rail mountable and receives auxiliary power. Parameterization and configuration are done using the ETS software. The gateway provides status information via LEDs and communication objects. It does not require a separate DALI power supply or controller. Installation and connection are straightforward, with DALI devices connected similarly to 1...10V technology, eliminating the need for DALI-specific addressing or commissioning. The device integrates directly into KNX building systems.
