The MICRO-51 is a microprocessor-based overcurrent relay for phase and ground protection in utility, industrial, and commercial power systems. It operates from conventional 5A or 1A secondary current transformers and is self-powered from the current, eliminating continuous drain on the control voltage supply. Settings are made via front panel switches. It features eight built-in time-current curves, wide current tap ranges with exceptional setting resolution, and an adjustable instantaneous element. It also includes three electrically isolated output contacts for Time trip, Inst. trip, and trip alarm, along with LEDs for indicating current above pickup and target indications. Self-diagnostics monitor the integrity of internal components.
