Warranty information is not explicitly stated in these excerpts.

Safety Information

For correct and safe use, observe the following:

  • Machine stopping system must be electrically controlled and capable of stopping hazardous movement within total machine stopping time T.
  • Mounting and connection must be done by qualified personnel.
  • The AOPD must be placed to prevent access to the hazard zone without beam interruption.
  • Personnel operating in the hazard zone must be well-trained.
  • TEST and ACKNOWLEDGE/RESET buttons must be outside the hazard zone.

Installation

Ensure the AOPD's protection level is appropriate (EN ISO 13849-1:2008). Key points:

  • OSSD outputs must be used for machine stopping, not command.
  • Machine requires its own Start command.
  • Smallest object to be detected must be larger than AOPD resolution.
  • Install in a suitable room (refer to "Technical data").
  • Avoid strong/flashing light sources.
  • Beware of strong electromagnetic interferences.
  • Operating distance can be reduced by smog, fog, or dust.
  • Temperature changes can cause condensation.
  • Reflecting surfaces can cause passive reflections.
  • Position AOPD to ensure the machine stops before the hazard zone is reached.

Respect minimum installation distance (EN ISO 13855:2010). Test function before startup.
