Manual Operation:

The breaker can be operated manually or electrically. Start by inspecting the Closing Spring Charged/Discharged Indicator and the Close/Open Indicator to determine available operations. Charge the closing spring using the manual Charge Handle. Manually close the breaker using the Close Push Button. The breaker then opens via the Open Push Button. An Open-Close-Open operation requires recharging the spring after the first close.

Electrical Operation:

Ensure control power is available. Energize the control power source; the charging motor will start, and the closing spring will be charged. Close the breaker using the manual close push-button or an electrical signal. The motor will recharge the spring unless control power is removed. Open the breaker using the manual open push-button or an electrical signal. The breaker is ready for continued operations until control power is deactivated.

Control Scheme:

The control scheme manages charging, closing, and opening functions. Initial state involves a discharged closing spring and an open breaker. With control power, the motor charges the spring. An electrical pulse to the close coil energizes it, releasing the spring, closing the breaker, and then the motor recharges. An electrical pulse to the open circuit energizes the trip/open coil, releasing the opening spring and opening the breaker. The breaker is then ready for O-C-O operation.
