The ABB i-bus® EIB / KNX DALI-Gateway DG/S 1.1 integrates DALI devices into EIB/KNX systems. It supports up to 64 DALI devices per channel, allowing direct switching, dimming, and brightness control via EIB/KNX objects. The gateway also handles automatic DALI address assignment and can be managed with the DGS11 Software Tool. Key functions include individual device control, lightscene management, fault detection, and broadcast control. It requires an AC or DC auxiliary voltage and generates the DALI voltage for connected devices.
Troubleshooting and error codes
| LED | Status | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Green | Lights up green | Voltage supply present, device ready for DALI operation. |
| Green | Switches off | Voltage supply fails, DALI voltage no longer generated. Device still programmable. |
| Yellow | Lights up yellow | DALI fault (short circuit, ballast or lamp fault). |
| Yellow | Flashes slowly (1 Hz) | Test operation. |
| Yellow | Flashes rapidly (10 Hz) | Initialization phase. |
| Yellow | Flashes continuously | More than 64 DALI devices connected to a channel; initialisation phase will not exit. |
| Red | Lights up red | Device in EIB programming mode. |
