Basic Operations

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the Play/Pause button for 2-3 seconds to turn on. Press and hold for 3-5 seconds to turn off while playing. The player auto-shuts down after 30 seconds of inactivity in standby mode.
  • Function Selection: Navigate modes using NEXT/PREV keys. Short press MODE to select a mode.

MUSIC Mode

  • Playing: Press PLAY to start. Short press PLAY to pause. Long press PLAY to stop.
  • Navigation: Hold NEXT/PREV to fast forward/backward within a song. Short press NEXT/PREV to go to the next/previous song.
  • Volume: Short press VOL+/- to adjust volume.
  • Setup: Short press MODE to access MUSIC setup.

REC Mode

  • Recording: Short press PLAY in REC standby to start recording. Short press PLAY to pause. Long press PLAY to stop and save. Long press MODE to save and return to main menu.

Voice Mode

  • Playback: Short press PLAY to play a file.
  • Navigation and Setup options are similar to MUSIC mode.

FM Radio Mode

  • Tuning: Long press MODE to enter main menu, select FM Radio. Use NEXT/PREV to change frequency.
  • Menu: Press MODE to access FM menu for Save, Search, Record, Delete, Band selection, etc.

System Setup

  • Access System from main menu. Options include System Time, Backlight Time, Language Selection, Power-off Setup, Repeat Setup, Contrast Adjustment, Online Mode, Storage Information, Firmware Version, and Firmware Upgrade.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
The player does not turn on 1. Check batteries. 2. Connect to PC via USB, turn on player. 3. If unresolved, perform "Firmware upgrade" and format the player. Download firmware from website.
LCD display does not show anything 1. Press Play/Pause button. 2. If unresolved, perform "Firmware upgrade" and format the player.
For Windows 98 user - PC doesn't recognize the player 1. Connect player to PC USB port. Let it recognize as new hardware, then install driver. 2. Repeat step 1 if not recognized. 3. If unresolved, run "Firmware Download" program and format player again.
When shall we change the battery? 1. Battery icon is empty and blinking. 2. Player powers off by itself during playback or quickly when turned on.
