Prior to Using for the First Time: To avoid unpleasant odors, operate the toaster a few times at the maximum browning setting without bread, near an open window. Allow it to cool between heating phases.
Switching On: Plug in the toaster. Insert bread. Select browning setting (1-6) using the rotary knob. Press the start lever down. The toaster will switch off automatically when browning is complete. Use the start lever (bread lift function) to raise toast for easy removal.
Interrupting Toasting: Press the stop button or lift the start lever.
Defrost: Press the defrost button when toasting frozen bread to lengthen toasting time.
Warm Up: Press the warm up button to keep toast warm and crisp.
Roll Rack: Use the roll rack for crisping bread rolls. Place rolls on the rack, select browning setting, and switch on. Turn the bread when the toaster switches off. Never place rolls directly on the toasting slot.
Cleaning: Unplug and let cool. Remove crumbs from the crumb drawer. Clean the outer housing with a dry or slightly moist cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the appliance in liquid.
