  • Powering On/Off: Press the I/O button (5) to turn the device on. The Standby LED (7) will turn off, and the display (12) will activate. Press the I/O button (5) again to turn the device off (Standby mode). The Standby LED (7) will illuminate, and the display (12) will turn off, showing only the clock.
  • Setting the Clock: With the device off, press and hold the MEM/CLK-ADJ button (13) until the time format (24H or 12H) is displayed. Use TUNE+/ (15) or /TUNE- (21) to switch between 24-hour and 12-hour display. Press MEM/CLK-ADJ (13) to set the hours, then use TUNE+/ (15) or /TUNE- (21) to adjust the hours. Press MEM/CLK-ADJ (13) to confirm and set the minutes. Use TUNE+/ (15) or /TUNE- (21) to adjust the minutes. Press MEM/CLK-ADJ (13) to save the time.
  • Adjusting Volume: Use the VOL + (10) or VOL - (4) buttons to set the desired volume from 0 (off) to 30 (maximum).
  • Setting Alarms: Two different alarm times can be set. ALARM 1 turns the device on at the set time, playing from the selected source at the set volume. If no source is selected, a standard alarm tone sounds. ALARM 2 sounds a standard alarm tone at volume 20 at the set time. Use ALARM 1 (3) or ALARM 2 (2) to set hours and minutes.
  • Tuner Operation: Select TUNER mode using the FUNCTION button (6). Choose between FM and AM bands using the /BAND button (34). Automatic station search can be performed by holding TUNE+/ (15) or /TUNE- (21). Manual tuning is done by pressing TUNE+/ (15) or /TUNE- (21) in smaller increments. Switch between stereo and mono reception (FM only) with the II/ST/MO button (17).
  • CD Playback: Select CD mode using the FUNCTION button (6). Press the CD-eject button (19) to open/close the tray. Insert a CD with the label facing up. Press PLAY/PAUSE (17) to start/pause playback, and STOP (18) to end it. Skip tracks using TUNE+/ (15) or /TUNE- (21). Fast forward/rewind by holding these buttons.
  • USB/SD/MMC Playback: Connect a USB drive or insert an SD/MMC card. Playback functions are similar to CD playback.
  • iPod Playback: Connect your iPod via the docking port (22). Select iPod mode using the FUNCTION button (6). Playback controls are similar to CD/MP3 playback. The iPod will charge while connected, unless the device is in TUNER mode.
  • Other Functions: Features include a sleep timer (SLEEP button (46)) for automatic shut-off, snooze function (SNOOZE button (11)) to delay alarms, and mute function (MUTE button (41)) to silence audio output.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device cannot be switched on Power cable not plugged into the wall socket. Plug the power cable into the wall socket.
No power at the wall socket. Check the fuses.
No sound. Volume level is set to minimum. Increase the volume level.
Sound is muted. Press MUTE (41) on the remote control to deactivate sound muting.
Speakers are not connected correctly. Connect the speakers to the SPEAKERS R/L (28) sockets.
CD is inserted incorrectly. Insert the CD with the label facing forward.
CD is dirty or damaged. Clean the CD or insert another one.
CD is not recognized. The device does not support this format. Insert another CD.
Error on a home-burned CD. Check the CD on another player.
Remote control does not work. The distance between the remote control and the device is too large. The remote control has a range of 5 meters.
Batteries are depleted. Replace the batteries in the remote control.
