| The residual heat indicator does not light up. | The cooking zone is not hot as it has been used for a short time. | If the cooking zone was switched on long enough to be hot, please contact customer service. |
| The automatic heating function does not start. | The cooking zone is hot. | Allow the cooking zone to cool down. |
| The cooking level switches between two cooking levels. | The highest cooking level is set. | The highest cooking level has the same performance as the automatic heating function. |
| The sensor fields become hot. | The Power Management function is activated. | See 'Power Management'. |
| It makes no sound when you touch the sensor fields of the control panel. | The cooking utensil is too large, or you have placed it too close to the control panel. | If necessary, place large cookware on the rear cooking zones. |

| E and a number light up. | There is a fault in the appliance. | Disconnect the appliance from the mains for a while. Switch off the fuse in the household fuse box. Switch the fuse back on. If E lights up again, notify customer service. |
| E lights up. | The diameter of the cookware base is too small for the cooking zone. | Use cookware with the correct dimensions. |
| E lights up. | The cookware does not cover the cross/square. | The cross/square must be fully covered. |
| E4 lights up. | There is a fault in the appliance because cookware has been boiled dry. The overheating protection for the cooking zones and the automatic switch-off are active. | Switch the appliance off. Remove the hot cookware. Switch the cooking zone back on after about 30 seconds. If the cookware was the problem, the error message will disappear from the display, but the residual heat indicator may remain lit. Allow the cookware to cool down and check in the 'Cookware for induction cooking zones' section whether the cookware used is suitable for induction hobs. |
