Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview

The control panel is a touch-sensitive field. To operate the appliance, touch the symbol in the center for at least 1 second.

Using the Extractor Hood:

Turn on the appliance by pressing the Ø1 symbol. You can now activate functions.
To activate a function, touch the corresponding symbol.

Light Function:

The light operates independently of other functions. Touch the symbol to illuminate the cooking surface.

Turning off the Appliance:

Press the Ø1 symbol again to turn off the appliance.

Hob²Hood Function:

This automatic function connects the hob to the extractor hood. The fan speed is automatically set based on the hob's settings and the temperature of the hottest cookware. You can also manually control the fan from the hob. This function can be activated from the hob's control panel.

Activating Maximum Motor Speed:

Touching the symbol activates maximum motor speed for 5 minutes. After this period, the appliance returns to its previous speed setting.

Filter Notification:

The filter alarm reminds you to change or clean the charcoal filter and clean the grease filter. The grease filter indicator lights up if the grease filter needs cleaning. The charcoal filter indicator flashes if it needs replacement or cleaning.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
The appliance cannot be switched on.	The appliance is not connected to the electricity supply or is not connected correctly.	Check that the appliance is correctly connected to the electricity supply.
The appliance cannot be switched on.	The fuse has blown.	Ensure the fuse is the cause of the malfunction. If the fuse blows repeatedly, contact a qualified electrician.
The light does not work.	The bulb is defective.	Replace the bulb. See the "Care and Cleaning" chapter.
The appliance does not absorb vapors sufficiently.	The motor speed is not adequate for the vapors generated.	Change the motor speed.
The filter alarm indicator is on.	The filter alarm is activated. The grease filter needs to be cleaned or the charcoal filter (optional) needs to be replaced or cleaned.	See "Filter Notification" in the "Daily Use" chapter.
