Warranty Information

The warranty does not apply for damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions.

Basic Operation of the PROTECT A. UPS

The PROTECT A. UPS is designed to provide uninterruptible power to essential loads like PCs and workstations. It features automatic voltage regulation to stabilize mains voltage deviations.

Normal Operation:

  • The UPS is connected to the mains and supplies power to connected loads.
  • The battery charger keeps the internal batteries fully charged.
  • Mains filters protect against voltage peaks and high-frequency faults.
  • The "LINE MODE" symbol on the display indicates normal operation.

Battery Operation / Autonomous Operation:

  • In case of a mains failure or if the input voltage goes out of tolerance, the UPS automatically switches to battery power.
  • The "BATTERY" pictogram flashes, and an intermittent acoustic signal sounds.
  • The remaining standby time is displayed in minutes.
  • If the UPS does not return to normal operation, save your work and switch off connected loads and the UPS.
  • The batteries automatically recharge when mains power is restored.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Fault CODE Possible fault cause
01 Output short circuit (output voltage less than 60 V)
02 Overload indicator: Immediate fault message in mains/normal operation with capacity utilization > 120%, or > 110% after 5 mins in mains or 30 secs in battery operation.
03 Output voltage deviation, outside the permitted tolerance range
04 Fan fault
05 Overload of booster stage: Acoustic alarm after 10 mins with activated booster stage and > 86% load; shutdown after 5 mins.

Other Indicators:

  • LOAD indicator flashes every second: Overload.
  • BATTERY indicator flashes every second: Battery undervoltage (UPS shutdown imminent).
  • BATTERY indicator flashes every 3 seconds: Threat of battery overload.
