Taking Good Pictures

  • Consider how and where your image will be used and output.
  • Use the high-resolution (Hi) setting for all images.
  • When photographing outdoors, position yourself so the sun is behind you, illuminating the subject.
  • Hold the camera steady until the camera beeps to signal image capture.
  • Get as close as possible to your subject to minimize extra image data.
  • Use Automatic flash mode to avoid underexposed images.

Camera Care and Maintenance

  • Never use harsh or abrasive cleaners on the camera exterior; wipe dust with a clean, dry cloth.
  • To clean the lens or viewfinder, blow away dust, breathe on the lens to create mist, and gently wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth or lens tissue.
  • Wipe the lens in a gentle, circular motion to prevent scratches.
  • Clean battery contacts with a dry cloth if necessary.
  • If condensation forms inside the camera, stop using it and leave it at room temperature to evaporate.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the camera yourself; refer repairs to your Agfa dealer.
