Inserting the Film

1. Open the camera back by sliding the latch plate.
2. Insert the 35mm cassette into the left chamber.
3. Rotate the milled disc to align the slot with the transport cog.
4. Pull the rewind knob out and insert the cassette, then push the knob back, rotating slightly to engage.
5. Thread the narrow end of the film into the spool slot, ensuring the perforation engages with the cog.
6. Turn the take-up spool until the film is taut.
7. Close and lock the camera back.

Setting the Exposure Counter

1. Depress and rotate the inner, milled ring on the rapid winding lever counter-clockwise until 'A' is opposite the index line.
2. Operate the winding lever and then the shutter release to make two blank exposures.
3. Repeat the winding and releasing process. The exposure counter should now be one stroke ahead of "1".

Range Finding

1. Look through the viewfinder. A central patch will appear double.
2. Move the focusing lever until the two images in the center coincide.
3. The lens is now focused on the subject.
