Warranty Information

Warranty is void if system elements are used not according to instructions, or if there is unprofessional installation or unauthorized repair.

General Operation:

The DLS VAV SYSTEM connects to mini-central air conditioners for independent room temperature control, saving energy by disconnecting air supply to unoccupied rooms. Each room has an electrically operated air damper, a remote control, and a sensor. The damper controls conditioned air volume based on room temperature requirements. The air conditioner itself determines cooling or heating settings. The remote control has a range of up to 7 meters and must be aimed directly at the sensor. Signal reception is indicated by the sensor's flickering lights. Avoid exposing the sensor and remote to direct sunlight, fluorescent light, or other heat sources. Do not place the remote control in airflow from wall grids.

Remote Control Operation:

Use the On/Off button to turn the system on/off. The display lights up, green light turns on, and red light turns off when powered on. The damper operates based on the last working condition. Four operating states are available via the working condition pushbutton: Manual Position 1 (1/3 airflow), Manual Position 2 (2/3 airflow), Manual Position 3 (full airflow), and Automatic Position (proportional to temperature difference). Desired temperature is set using '+' and '-' buttons.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
1. Demand for Cooling or Heating, but AC unit doesn't start. • Check if the Air Condition operation panel is ON.
• Verify that the room's demand matches the AC condition (Cool-Cool or Heat-Heat).
2. No demand in any room or remotes OFF, but AC doesn't stop. • Check if all rooms are closed.
• Check cable connection between AC IR receiver and VAV SYSTEM controller.
• Check cable connection between VAV SYSTEM controller and AC controller.
3. Channel LED at VAV SYSTEM controller is OFF. Normal situation when damper/Grill or I/R receiver is not connected to the channel.
4. Motor LED at the Mini Max is OFF. • Indication that the motor is not connected to the controller.
• RJ45 cable is damaged.
5. All I/R receivers' LEDs blinking. Indicates that the VAV SYSTEM is not connected to the Air condition.
6. Fan Motor speed changed to LOW. Normal operation in minimal demand when only one damper is open.
7. I/R receiver LED does not turn ON. • Check connection of the RJ11 cable to the motor.
• Check connection of the motor to the controller.
8. I/R receiver is ON but Damper/Grill does not open. Check if the remote control has demand according to the AC mode of operation.
9. Damper or Grill does not Open or Close. • Check the Remote control ID address or set address to 00.
• Check for cross connection between I/R receiver in one channel to the motor of another channel in each room. I/R receiver and motor of each room must be connected.
10. Bypass damper does not operate. Check the cable connection between the Bypass motor and the VAV SYSTEM controller.
11. Damper or Grill is Open but remote control calls for Close. Check for eye sight between the remote control and the I/R receiver. If there is no eye sight, the damper will open to 2/3 position after 30 minutes.
