Keys and connectors

  • Power key: Press to lock/light screen; press and hold to access menu options (ringer mode, airplane mode, power off, quick start, restart) or to power on.
  • Volume keys: Adjust earpiece/headset volume during calls, media volume in multimedia modes, and ringtone volume in general mode. Can also mute incoming calls or act as a camera capture key.

Getting started

  • SIM card: Insert to make calls. Power off phone and remove battery before insertion/removal.
  • microSD card: Insert with gold contact facing down. Ensure phone is off before removal.
  • Battery: Insert and click into place, then close the phone cover.
  • Charging: Connect charger to phone and a mains socket.

Home screen

  • Customize with applications, shortcuts, folders, and widgets.
  • Status bar: View status and notification indicators.
  • Search bar: For text or voice searches.
  • Favorite tray: Quick access to frequently used apps.
  • Application tab: Access the main menu.

Using the touchscreen

  • Touch: Access applications.
  • Touch and Hold: Access options like wallpaper settings.
  • Drag: Move items.
  • Slide/Swipe: Scroll through content.
  • Flick: Quick scrolling.
  • Pinch/Spread: Scale elements.
  • Rotate: Change screen orientation.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Phone is frozen or cannot be switched on Check battery level, charge for at least 20 minutes. If issue persists, reset the phone using the Power key and Volume up key.
Phone has not responded for several minutes Restart the phone by pressing and holding the Power key.
Phone turns off by itself Ensure the screen is locked when not in use and the Power key is not mis-contacted. Check battery charge level.
Phone cannot charge properly Ensure the battery is not completely discharged. Allow up to 20 minutes for charging indicator to appear. Charge under normal conditions (0°C to +40°C). Check voltage compatibility abroad.
Phone cannot connect to a network or "No service" is displayed Try a different location, verify network coverage with operator, check SIM card validity, manually select network, or try later if the network is overloaded.
Phone cannot connect to the Internet Verify IMEI, ensure internet service is available on SIM, check internet settings, ensure you are in a place with network coverage, or try later/another location.
Invalid SIM card Ensure correct insertion, check for chip damage, and verify SIM service availability.
Unable to make outgoing calls Dial valid number, check international codes, ensure network connection and availability, check subscription status, ensure outgoing calls are not barred, and check for airplane mode.
Unable to receive incoming calls Ensure phone is on and connected to a network, check subscription status, ensure incoming calls are not forwarded, ensure certain calls are not barred, and check for airplane mode.
Caller's name/number does not appear Check service subscription with operator, or the caller may have concealed their information.
Cannot find contacts Ensure SIM card is not broken, SIM card is properly inserted, and import contacts from SIM to phone.
Poor call quality Adjust volume during call, check network strength, and ensure receiver/speaker is clean.
Cannot use described features Check with operator for service availability and ensure no specific accessory is required.
When selecting a contact, the number cannot be dialed Ensure correct number recording, select country prefix for foreign calls.
Unable to add a contact Check if SIM contacts are full; delete or save to phone memory.
Callers unable to leave voicemail Check service availability with operator.
Cannot access voicemail Ensure voicemail number is correctly entered and try later if the network is busy.
Unable to send/receive MMS Check phone memory, contact operator for service and MMS parameters, verify server center number or MMS profile.
SIM card PIN locked Contact operator for PUK code.
Unable to connect phone to computer Install ALCATEL ONE TOUCH Android Manager, check USB driver, activate Android Manager Agent, enable USB debugging, meet system requirements, and use the correct cable.
Unable to download new files Ensure sufficient phone memory, check subscription status.
Phone not detected by Bluetooth Ensure Bluetooth is on and phone is visible, and phones are within detection range.
