  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power key.
  • Screen Lock/Unlock: Press the Power key.
  • Navigate: Use the touchscreen (touch, touch and hold, drag, slide/swipe, pinch/spread, rotate).
  • Access Settings: Touch Menu key then Settings.
  • Make Calls: Open the Phone application, dial or select from Contacts/Call log, then touch Call.
  • Send Messages: Open Messaging, create a new message, enter recipient and text, then send.
  • Connect to Internet: Use Wi-Fi or GPRS/EDGE/3G via Settings.
  • Customize Home Screen: Touch and hold to add, reposition, or remove items.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Phone cannot be switched on or is frozen Charge for 20 minutes, try switching on again. Press and hold Volume down to enter Safe Mode. Reset using Power and Volume up keys.
Phone has not responded Restart by pressing and holding the Power key.
Phone turns off by itself Check screen lock, Power key contact, and battery charge level.
Cannot charge properly Ensure battery isn't fully discharged, charge under normal conditions (0°C to 40°C), check voltage input when abroad.
Cannot connect to network or “No service” Try another location, verify network coverage, check SIM validity with operator.
Invalid SIM card Ensure correct insertion, check for damage, verify service availability.
Unable to make outgoing calls Dial valid number, check country codes, network connection, subscription status, and ensure not in airplane mode.
Unable to receive incoming calls Ensure phone is on and connected, check subscription, ensure no call forwarding or barring, and not in airplane mode.
Caller's name/number not shown Check service subscription, or caller may have hidden their details.
Cannot find contacts Check SIM card, ensure proper insertion, import contacts from SIM.
Poor call quality Adjust volume, check network strength, ensure receiver/connector/speaker is clean.
Cannot dial number from contacts Verify recorded number, check country prefix for international calls.
Unable to add contact Check if SIM contacts are full; delete files or save to phone contacts.
Callers cannot leave voicemail Contact operator to check service availability.
Cannot access voicemail Ensure correct voicemail number is entered, try later if network is busy.
Unable to send/receive MMS Check phone memory, contact operator for service and MMS parameters, verify server center number.
SIM card PIN locked Contact operator for PUK code.
Cannot connect to computer Install Smart suite, check USB driver, activate Smart suite, enable USB debugging, ensure computer meets requirements, use correct cable.
Cannot download new files Ensure sufficient phone memory, check subscription status.
Phone not detected via Bluetooth Ensure Bluetooth is on and visible, check detection range.
