Basic Operation Summary

Powering On/Off: Press and hold the Power key.

Navigating: Use the touchscreen to tap icons, drag to scroll, and pinch/spread to zoom. The Home key returns you to the main screen.

Making Calls: Open the Phone app, enter the number, and touch the call icon. You can also call from Contacts or Call Log.

Messaging: Access the Messaging app to send and receive SMS/MMS.

Personalizing: Customize your Home screen by adding shortcuts, widgets, and folders. Adjust wallpapers and ringtones in Settings.

Connecting: Connect to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from the Settings menu.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Phone frozen or cannot switch on Check battery contacts, reinstall battery. Charge for at least 20 minutes. Use User Data Format to reset.
Phone has not responded Restart by holding Power key. Remove and re-insert battery.
Phone turns off by itself Check keypad lock. Ensure Power key is not mis-contacted. Check battery charge level.
Cannot charge properly Use ALCATEL ONE TOUCH battery and charger. Ensure battery is inserted properly and contacts are clean. Charge for at least 20 mins. Check charging conditions (0°C to +40°C).
Cannot connect to network or “No service” Try another location, check network coverage. Verify SIM card validity. Select network manually. Try later if network is overloaded.
Cannot connect to Internet Check IMEI number. Ensure SIM card internet access is available. Check Internet settings. Ensure network coverage. Try connecting later or another location.
Invalid SIM card Ensure SIM card is correctly inserted and undamaged. Check SIM service availability.
Unable to make outgoing calls Dial valid number. Check country/area codes for international calls. Ensure network connection. Check subscription status. Ensure not in flight mode. Ensure outgoing calls are not barred.
