Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Solution
Phone cannot be switched on or is frozen Charge for 20 minutes, try switching on. Use Safe Mode (Volume Down + Power) or reset (Volume Up + Power).
Phone has not responded Restart by pressing and holding the Power key for over 10s.
Phone turns off by itself Check screen lock, ensure Power key is not mis-contacted. Check battery charge.
Phone cannot charge properly Use the included ALCATEL ONETOUCH charger. Ensure battery is not fully discharged. Charge in normal conditions (0°C to +40°C). Check voltage compatibility abroad.
No network connection / "No service" Try another location. Verify network coverage with operator. Check SIM validity. Select network manually. Try later if network is overloaded.
Cannot connect to the Internet Check IMEI. Ensure internet access is available for SIM. Check phone's internet settings. Ensure network coverage. Try later or another location.
Invalid SIM card Ensure SIM card is correctly inserted and chip is not damaged. Check SIM service availability.
Unable to make outgoing calls Dial valid number. Check country/area codes. Ensure network connection and availability. Check subscription status and call barring. Ensure not in flight mode.
Unable to receive incoming calls Ensure phone is on and connected to network. Check subscription status and call forwarding/barring. Ensure not in flight mode.
Caller's name/number not shown Check service subscription with operator. Caller may have concealed their name/number.
Cannot find contacts Ensure SIM is not broken or improperly inserted. Import contacts from SIM.
Poor call quality Adjust volume. Check network strength. Ensure receiver/connector/speaker is clean.
Unable to use features Check service subscription with operator. Ensure no specific accessory is required.
Cannot dial selected contact number Ensure number is correctly recorded. Select correct country prefix.
Unable to add contact Check if SIM contacts are full. Save to phone contacts instead.
Callers unable to leave voicemail Contact operator for service availability.
