The A96US2V furnace utilizes an automatic hot surface ignition system. Upon a thermostat call for heat, the combustion air inducer starts, followed by a pre-purge. The hot surface ignitor then energizes, and after a warm-up period, the gas valve opens, initiating combustion. A flame sensor verifies ignition. If the flame is not detected, the ignition sequence repeats a few times before lockout. For heating, the indoor blower operates at speeds determined by DIP switch settings or Comfort Sync™™ thermostat commands, ensuring efficient and comfortable heating.
