Getting Started:

  • Download iTunes: Go to www.itunes.com/download.
  • Connect to Computer: Connect your iPhone to your computer's USB port.
  • Sync: iTunes will guide you through setup. Select contacts, calendars, music, photos, etc., and click Apply. Watch a tutorial at www.apple.com/itunes/tutorials for help with syncing.

Button Basics:

  • Turn On/Off/Sleep: Press the On/Off button. Hold for a few seconds to turn off/restart. Press once to put into sleep mode.
  • Silence Call: Press the On/Off button once when a call comes in.
  • Send to Voicemail: Press the On/Off button twice.
  • Volume: Use the Volume Up/Down buttons.

Basic Functions:

  • Go Home: Press the Home button to close apps or return to the main Home screen. Double-click for iPod controls.
  • Create Folders: Touch and hold an icon, then drag it onto another to create a folder. Customize positions by dragging.
  • Multitasking: Double-click the Home button to switch between apps.
  • Search: Swipe from left to right on the Home screen or press the Home button, then type your search query.
  • Make a Call: Tap a phone number in contacts or dial manually. Use the headset's center button to answer/end calls.
  • Voice Control: Hold the Home button or headset center button to activate hands-free calling or music playback.
  • Send Messages: Tap Messages, type a contact, write your message, and tap Send. Tap the Camera button to send photos/video.
