  • Unpacking: Carefully unpack the system unit, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power cords. Keep packaging for future transport.
  • Site Selection: Place the system unit on a level surface, away from moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Connections: Connect the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and any peripherals to the system unit. Ensure AC power cords are connected securely to the system unit, monitor, and grounded outlets.
  • Powering On: Turn on the system unit first, then peripherals. The computer performs a Power-On Self-Test (POST).
  • Booting: The computer attempts to boot from a system diskette or hard disk.

Troubleshooting and error codes
