Introduction

The Apricot LS Pro family is a range of ultra-compact IBM compatible computers designed for use as personal computers, network workstations, or high-resolution graphics workstations. Key features include an 80386SX or 486SLC microprocessor, expandable RAM (2 to 16 Mbytes), IBM compatible serial and parallel ports, Ethernet port, optional Token-Ring port, PS/2 mouse port, on-board floppy disk controller and hard disk connector, full IBM compatibility, on-board VGA with high-resolution capabilities, internal power supply, LOC Technology security, and a Windows 3.1 compatible Business Audio subsystem.

System Unit Components

  • System Unit: Houses the processor, memory, disk drives, power supply, security circuitry, and various interfaces.
  • Keyboard: Full QWERTY layout with numeric keypad and editing keys, compatible with IBM AT enhanced keyboard. Connects via a PS/2 style miniature DIN connector.
  • Monitors: Supports VGA, SVGA, and EVGA monitors for various resolutions.
  • Expansion: RAM can be expanded using SIMMs. A socket for an 80387SX coprocessor is available.
