Taking Pictures

  1. Set shutter for type of picture and match to meter.
  2. Aim camera at subject and match meter reading to lens.
  3. Focus with rangefinder, cock shutter, and press release.

Using the Rangefinder

Look through the right eyepiece (rangefinder window), turn the dial to line up the rangefinder image. Shift to the left eyepiece (viewfinder) to compose. The lens automatically focuses.

Shutter Settings

Low numbers mean longer open time (dim light/scenes), high numbers mean shorter open time (action). Use "I" for regular speeds, "B" for time exposures. Setting 6 is normal; 5 for flash; 7-8 for action; 4 for slowest speeds (tripod needed).

Using the LC3 Meter

  1. Set inner dial to film's exposure index.
  2. Turn outer dial to shutter number.
  3. Aim meter at subject. Follow needle to lens opening number.

Loading the Camera

  1. Open back, pull rewind knob, insert film cartridge.
  2. Thread leader to take-up spindle, wind slightly to secure.
  3. Wind to engage sprocket teeth, close back.
  4. Wind until stops, set exposure counter to "0".

Unloading

Rewind film into cartridge before opening back. Turn rewind knob until counter dial stops. Open back and remove film.
