Loading the Camera: Turn the lock on the camera bottom to open the back. Move the wind lever until it stops, then rotate the take-up spool. Insert a 35mm magazine, thread the film under the roller and engage perforations on the sprocket. Wind to secure the film end. Close the back and lock it. Operate the wind lever through two full strokes to prepare for the first exposure.

Setting the Shutter and Lens: Turn the shutter speed dial to the desired fraction of a second, aligning it with the index mark. For lens opening, turn the scale to the desired number opposite the index mark. Consult exposure guides or color-matic settings for appropriate combinations.

Focusing: Sight through the viewfinder-rangefinder and turn the rangefinder dial until the images align.

Flash Use: Install a battery in the flash unit. Attach the unit to the camera's accessory shoe. Select the correct flashbulb setting. Open the reflector and insert the flashbulb. Test the flash circuit with the test light button. Use the flash calculator on the unit to determine the correct lens opening based on film and flashbulb guide numbers and subject distance.
