Basic Operation of your Asahi Pentax MX Camera:
- Set Film Speed: Depress the button on the shutter dial and turn the rim to align the film's ASA number in the window.
- Cock Rapid-Wind Lever: Move the lever fully until it stops. A red "Cocked" indicator will appear.
- Set Shutter Speed: Turn the shutter speed dial to your desired speed.
- Compose and Focus: Look through the viewfinder and turn the focusing ring until the image is sharp.
- Set Exposure: Pull the rapid-wind lever slightly and depress the shutter button halfway to activate the meter. Adjust the aperture ring until the green LED dot indicates correct exposure.
- Release Shutter: Hold the camera firmly and trip the shutter. Recock the lever for the next shot.
Always avoid direct light when loading or unloading film.
