Insert the safety key and battery pack(s). Push and hold the button on the switch box, then pull the bail handle to start. Release the button once the mower starts. Release the bail handle to stop the mower.
Open lower-handle attachment levers, align the arrow on the mower base with the numbers on the handle base, and close levers. Ensure they are firmly latched.
Pull the cut height adjust lever out, move it to the desired position (seven options), and push it back into the locking notch.
Ensure the safety key and battery packs are removed. Remove any installed attachments (bag, mulching insert, side discharge). Install the desired attachment by following the specific instructions for mulching, bagging, or side discharge.
Keep blades sharp for optimal performance. Replace bent or damaged blades immediately. Sharpening twice a season is usually sufficient. Balance the blade by filing the heavier end if necessary.
