Warranty Information

Black & Decker warrants this product for two years against any defects in material or workmanship.

Assembly: Ensure upper handle and wheels are fully assembled before plugging into a 120V outlet. Secure the handle to mounting brackets and ensure handle clips and wheels are in place.
Operation: Keep the blade sharpened and balanced for best results. Inspect and clean the lawnmower after each use. Ensure the mowing area is clear of persons, pets, and objects before and during operation. Always walk, never run, and do not force the lawnmower. Dress properly with non-skid footwear and safety glasses. Never pull the lawnmower by the cord.
Maintenance: Before each mowing session, unplug the lawnmower and ensure the blade has stopped. Check all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness. Inspect guards. Clean debris from the lawnmower and store indoors.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Motor keeps slowing down - The underside of the lawnmower may be plugged with clippings, UNPLUG lawnmower and clean out.
- Grass may be too tall, try pushing at a slower pace, or raise cut height.
Runs but poor cut results - Check blade sharpness and balance, and correct if required.
- The blade may be dull, UNPLUG lawnmower and carefully check for sharpness.
- Blade may be damaged (bent or badly chipped), UNPLUG lawnmower and replace if necessary.
- Grass may be too high or thick for cutting height, UNPLUG lawnmower and raise cutting height.
- Wheels may not be at same height.
- Blade may be loose, UNPLUG lawnmower and check blade for tightness.
- Blade may be bent or badly chipped, UNPLUG lawnmower and replace if necessary.
- Blade may be unbalanced. Refer to blade balancing section of instruction manual.
Lawnmower is hard to push - Lawnmower is too close to the ground with the amount of grass being cut, UNPLUG lawnmower and raise cutting height.
- UNPLUG lawnmower and check wheels to ensure all are rotating easily.
- Too much grass, UNPLUG lawnmower and raise cutting height.
Lawnmower leaves clumps of grass - UNPLUG lawnmower and carefully check blade for sharpness.
- Grass may be too wet to cut. Wait for grass to dry.
