Manual for ESM

The ESM motor can be attached to all Bolex H 16 cameras with a flat base equipped with a 1:1 drive axle. Ensure the aperture lever is locked in the open position. Set the lateral release to M and the spring motor disengagement lever to 0. Set the speed selection knob to 64 B./s to disengage the spring motor governor. Attach the motor to the camera, ensuring the drive shafts engage correctly. The red markings on the camera and motor must coincide. Tighten the three motor screws moderately. The battery handle can be attached with a quick-release mechanism. Ensure the intermediate piece is securely fastened to the camera. Push the locking element to release the lever and then attach the handle. Connect the cable by inserting the plug into the socket, orienting it correctly, and tightening the locking sleeve. The handle's inclination can be adjusted using its two locking screws. The strap length can be adapted by loosening the fastening nuts and then re-tightening them. The camera with the battery handle can be mounted on a Bolex tripod or monopod. The handle can be detached if necessary, and power is supplied via the universal cable.
