Flash Photography with Set-O-Matic:
1. Set shutter speed to 1/50 sec. Consult the chart in the camera's back to find the Set-O-Matic letter (A, B, C, or D) corresponding to your film and bulb combination (e.g., 'C' for Kodachrome A film with SF bulb).
2. Align the pointer on the Set-O-Matic slide with the corresponding letter. Lift the slide to click into position, engaging the diaphragm pointer.
3. You are now set! Just range-find and shoot. The camera automatically sets the diaphragm.
To Disengage Set-O-Matic for Daylight: Press the slide down. This uncouples the diaphragm for daylight pictures.
Loading:
1. Open the camera by unlocking the lever and sliding the cover down.
2. Insert the film cartridge and turn the Rewind Knob until its shaft engages the cartridge.
3. Attach the film leader to the take-up spool, pulling out about 3 inches and inserting it under the tongue.
4. Align the film on the sprocket so perforations engage the teeth. Turn the Wind Knob until it locks, ensuring all slack is taken up.
5. Close the camera, slide the cover gently over the film, and lock it.
6. Wind the film leader by lifting the Wind Knob and turning it until the mechanism locks. Repeat once more.
7. Set the frame counter to zero.
8. Check shutter speed, diaphragm, and focus. Hold the camera steady and press the shutter lever slowly. You will hear two clicks.
9. After each picture, wind the film for the next exposure.
