Operation Summary

  • Safety First: Always read and follow safety instructions. Keep the manual safe.
  • Controls: Familiarize yourself with the controls before use.
  • Using the Mower:
    • Never allow children or untrained persons to use the product.
    • Ensure no people, especially children, or pets are nearby.
    • Wear sturdy shoes and long trousers.
    • Thoroughly inspect the area and remove foreign objects.
    • Check blades for wear or damage.
    • Mow only in daylight or good artificial light.
    • Avoid bad weather conditions.
    • Avoid operating in wet grass if possible.
    • Walk, never run.
    • Never operate with defective guards or safety devices.
    • Consider wearing ear protection.
    • Do not operate when tired, ill, or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medicine.
    • Working on banks: Mow across slopes, never up and down. Be sure of footing.
    • Always move the mower forward.
    • Tilt the mower only when blades have stopped, for transport or crossing non-grass surfaces.
    • Do not tilt when starting the motor.
    • Ensure feet are away from rotating parts.
    • Always stand clear of the discharge zone.
    • Never pick up or carry the machine while the motor is running.
    • Store with all 4 wheels on the ground.
    • Use the carrying handle with care.
    • Do not modify the machine.
    • Isolator Switch: Remove before leaving, clearing blockages, checking, cleaning, or after striking a foreign object.
    • Maintenance: Always wear gardening gloves. Keep nuts, bolts, and screws tight. Check grass bag. Inspect and replace worn parts. Use correct cutting means. Ensure Bosch-approved parts. Clean before storing.
    • Battery Handling: Switch off and remove battery before maintenance. Use only Bosch batteries. Do not open battery. Protect from heat, fire, water, moisture. Keep away from metal objects. Ventilate if vapors emitted. Use battery only with manufacturer's products. Protect from pointed objects.
    • Battery Charger: Read all safety warnings. Use only when fully understood. Never allow children or untrained persons to use. Supervise children. Charge only Bosch lithium-ion batteries of specified capacity. Match battery voltage. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. Keep charger away from rain/moisture. Keep charger clean. Check charger, cable, plug before use. Do not operate on easily ignited surfaces. Do not cover ventilation slots. Recommend RCD.
