Operating Your Cooktop

Turning On/Off

Press the main switch to turn the cooktop on. Indicators above touch keys will light up. Press and hold the main switch to turn the cooktop off. The cooktop automatically turns off if no cooking zones are active for 20 seconds.

Setting Power Levels

Select a cooking zone, then use the settings area (+/- keys) to adjust the power level from 1 to 9. Power levels are indicated in the cooking zone display. Intermediate settings are also available.

Cooking Zone Settings

Select a cooking zone, then set the desired power level. Power levels range from 1 (lowest) to 9 (highest).

FlexInduction™™ Cooking Zone

This zone can operate as a single large zone or two separate zones. Use the flex join/split key to link or split the zones.

PowerMove® Function

Activates the entire flexible cooking zone with preset power levels (9, 5, 1.5). Move cookware to change the power level without manual adjustment.

Timers

Use the kitchen timer for timed cooking up to 99 minutes. Use the count up timer to track elapsed time.

SpeedBoost®/ShortBoost

Temporarily increase the output of a cooking zone for faster heating of water or food.

Keep Warm

Use the keep warm function for melting or keeping food warm.

AutoChef®

A sensor controls pan temperature for optimal frying. Select a frying level and the cooktop maintains the temperature.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Defect Cause and Troubleshooting
None If the appliance has a problem, call customer service.
All displays flash Power source has been interrupted. Check lights and other appliances. Appliance not connected correctly. Disconnect and reconnect. Check for electronic fault. Clean control elements.
Display flashes in cooking zone Electronic fault. Cover control panel briefly. If the error message disappears, the control panel has cooled sufficiently.
F2 / E7015 Electronics have overheated. Cooking zone has switched off. Wait for electronics to cool. Touch any control element.
F4 / E7015 Electronics have overheated. All cooking zones have switched off. Wait for electronics to cool. Touch any control element.
F5 and heating position flash alternately. Audible signal sounds. Hot cookware near control panel. Remove cookware.
F5 and audible signal Hot cookware near control panel. Cooking zone switched off to protect electronics. Remove cookware. Wait. Touch control element.
F1 / F6 Cooking zone has overheated. Switched off to protect work surface. Wait for electronics to cool. Reactivate cooking zone.
FB + H / het and cooking zones do not heat Cooking zone operated continuously. Automatic time limit triggered. Touch any control element to adjust and continue cooking.
0400 Incorrect supply voltage. Contact your electricity provider.
E7010 is displayed. Cooktop cannot connect to local network or hood. Turn appliance off and on again. If error persists, contact customer service.
E9000/E9010 Incorrect supply voltage. Contact your electricity provider.
dE and burners do not heat Demo mode is active. Disconnect appliance for 30 seconds. Touch any control element within 3 minutes.
