  • Your new appliance: Familiarize yourself with the refrigerator and freezer compartments, fascia, interior light, shelves, vegetable container, storage compartments, butter and cheese compartment, egg rack, bottle storage, freezer drawer, fan, and refrigerator compartment sensor.
  • Fascia Controls: Use the On/Off button for the refrigerator compartment. Select refrigerator temperature using the selection button from +2 to +8 °C. The "super" display for refrigerator compartment activates a 6-hour cooling cycle at the lowest temperature for rapid cooling. For the freezer, select temperatures from -16 to -32 °C. A warning display indicates excessively high freezer temperatures. "Super" freezing can be activated for large quantities of fresh food, running for up to 24 hours beforehand. Use the On/Off button for the freezer compartment.
  • Environmental temperature and ventilation: The appliance's climate class (found on the rating plate) indicates the permissible room temperatures. Ensure proper ventilation by not covering openings.
  • Connecting the appliance: Wait at least 30 minutes after setting up before plugging in. Ensure the socket is accessible and connect to a properly installed earthed socket with a 10A fuse. Do not use energy-saving plugs or inverters.
  • Switching on: Cool and freezer compartments can be switched on separately. The interior light comes on when the refrigerator door is opened. The warning display will light up until operating temperature is reached.
  • Setting the temperature: Default settings are +4 °C for the refrigerator and -20 °C for the freezer. These can be adjusted using the fascia controls.
  • Operating tips: The fan may operate as needed. The housing sides may feel slightly warm to prevent condensation. Condensation may form on the rear wall of the refrigerator and will evaporate automatically. If high humidity causes condensation, store food in packaging and select a colder refrigerator temperature. Allow a few minutes for the pressure to equalize before reopening the freezer door if it's difficult to open. Frost may form on freezer racks but doesn't affect performance until over 5mm thick. Avoid contact of plastic parts and door seals with oil or grease. Do not place food near the refrigerator sensor.
  • Switching off and disconnecting: Cool and freezer compartments can be switched off separately. For longer periods of non-use, switch off, unplug, defrost, clean, and leave the door ajar.
  • Variable interior design: Shelves and door compartments can be rearranged.
  • Food storage: Use cold zones in the refrigerator for sensitive items like meat and fish, and warmer zones (door) for butter and cheese. Pack food to preserve aroma, color, and freshness. Freeze food quickly, not exceeding the maximum capacity. Use appropriate packaging materials.
  • Purchasing frozen food: Check packaging for damage and expiry dates. Transport frozen food quickly in an insulated bag.
  • Storing frozen goods: Ensure proper air circulation by sliding drawers fully in. If storing large amounts, remove drawers and place food on racks. Follow storage duration guidelines based on food type.
  • Making ice: Use ice cube trays and fill them 3/4 full with water. Place in the freezer.
  • Defrosting the freezer compartment: Defrost when frost reaches approx. 1/2 cm thick, ideally when the freezer is not full. Activate "super" freezing 4 hours before defrosting to ensure food can be stored at room temperature longer. Unplug the appliance, store frozen food in a cool place, use the middle drawer to catch meltwater, and dry the bottom. Reconnect and reload.
  • Cleaning the appliance: Unplug the appliance. Clean with water and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Clean the door seal with clear water only. Do not allow water into the control panel or light. Shelves and drawers are not dishwasher-safe.
  • Saving energy: Place the appliance in a dry, ventilated room away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Allow warm food to cool before storing. Defrost frozen food in the refrigerator. Open the door for minimal time. Clean the rear of the appliance regularly.
  • Operating noises: Normal noises include humming (compressor), bubbling/gurgling (refrigerant), and clicking (motor). To fix easily, ensure the appliance is level, not touching other objects, and that drawers/racks are properly seated. Ensure bottles/items are not touching.
  • Troubleshooting: Check for power outages, ensure the mains plug is secure, and that ventilation openings are not blocked. If the "warning" light is on, the freezer is too warm – check ventilation, do not overload, and ensure the door is closed. If the interior light is out, replace the bulb. If the bottom of the refrigerator is wet, check the drain tube.
  • Customer service: Before calling, check troubleshooting steps. Provide E-Nr. and FD-Nr. from the rating plate to the service technician.
