Preparations Before Filming

  1. Unfold the grip.
  2. Load batteries.
  3. Check battery charge (when the main switch is on).
  4. Adjust eyepiece.
  5. Connect the earphone.
  6. Set the Audio Level Dial to "AUTO".
  7. Set the Tone Select Switch at "SOFT".
  8. Set filming speed at 18 fps.
  9. Manual Zooming.

Sound Shooting

  1. Insert the sound cartridge.
  2. Set the main switch at "R".
  3. Check film advance.
  4. Connect the microphone.
  5. Decide composition and focusing.
  6. Confirm the exposure and recording level at the first step of the shutter release lever.
  7. Set the microphone switch at "ON", and shoot at the second step of the shutter release lever (Zoom as desired).

Silent Shooting

  1. Insert the silent cartridge.
  2. Set the main switch at "R".
  3. Check film advance.
  4. Decide composition and focusing.
  5. Confirm the exposure at the first step of the shutter release lever.
  6. Set the microphone switch at "ON", and shoot at the second step of the shutter release lever (Zoom as desired).

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Remedy
No sound is recorded. Microphone is not connected. Connect the microphone.
Sound is distorted. Audio Level is too high. Set the Audio Level Dial to "AUTO" or "Low Level Setting".
Film does not advance. Batteries are dead or not loaded correctly. Load new batteries or check loading.
