Troubleshooting and error codes

Message What to do
Cannot connect to the wireless router. - Check if the wireless router is working properly.
- Move the camcorder closer to the wireless router.
- Use the camcorder away from devices that may interfere with wireless signals, such as cordless phones, microwaves, and refrigerators.
- If the Wi-Fi network has a hidden SSID, it may not be detected. Manually set up the connection or disable the hidden function on the wireless router.
Detected multiple access points. Try again. - Multiple wireless routers (access points) are sending WPS signals. Try again later or use the PIN code option for Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
Wi-Fi connection terminated - Use the camcorder away from devices that may interfere with wireless signals.
- If too many devices are accessing the wireless access point, the camcorder may not be able to connect.
WPS setup failed - Turn off the camcorder and wireless router, then turn them back on and try again.
- If the problem persists, manually set up the Wi-Fi network.
- Some wireless routers require you to press and hold the WPS button. Refer to the wireless router's manual for details.
- Press [OK] on the camcorder screen within 2 minutes of activating WPS on the wireless router (either by pressing the button or entering the PIN code).
Wireless communication not working properly - Use the camcorder away from devices that may interfere with wireless signals.
- Turn off the camcorder and wireless router, then turn them back on and perform Wi-Fi network setup again. Contact Canon service if the problem persists.
