Quick Start Guide

1. Insert the battery: Charge the battery first (p.26).
2. Insert the card: With the label facing the back, insert the card into the slot.
3. Attach the lens: Align the mount index on the lens with the camera's mount index.
4. Set focus mode: Switch the lens focus mode to <AF>.
5. Turn on power: Set the power switch to <ON>. Configure date/time/zone if prompted.
6. Set Mode Dial: Turn the Mode Dial to <A> (Scene Intelligent Auto) for automatic settings.
7. Focus on subject: Look through the viewfinder and aim the center at the subject. Press the shutter button halfway to focus. Flash may raise if needed.
8. Take the picture: Press the shutter button completely.
9. Review the picture: The image appears on the LCD for 2 seconds. Press <> to review later.
