Quick Start Guide for LEG RIA mini X

1. Downloading the Instruction Manual: Read the full-version PDF manual for detailed information and troubleshooting. Download from www.canon.com/icpd/. Adobe Reader 6 or later is required.

2. Charging the Battery Pack: Connect the power cord to the compact power adapter, plug it into a power outlet, and connect the adapter to the camcorder's DC IN terminal. Insert the battery pack, and charging starts when the camcorder is off. The red power/charge indicator shows charging; it turns off when fully charged (approx. 4 hours).

3. Inserting a Memory Card: Ensure the camcorder is off. Open the memory card slot cover and insert an SD, SDHC, or SDXC card with the label side facing down. Close the cover. Initialize the memory card using the [Complete Initialization] option for first-time use.

4. Basic Setup: Turn on the camcorder. Follow the on-screen prompts to select the language and set the date and time. Touch fields to change values using [▲] or [✔]. Touch [OK] to complete.

5. Adjusting the Camcorder: Adjust the articulated LCD panel and built-in stand for your shooting style.

6. Shooting Video and Taking Photos: Turn on the camcorder. Touch [ ] to switch to photo mode. Press the start/stop button to record video or take a photo. Touch it again to stop. Touch [PHOTO] to take a photo.

7. Playing Back Video and Viewing Photos: Press and hold the button to open an index screen. Touch thumbnails to play back. Touch the screen during playback for controls. To delete, touch [Edit] [Delete] on the index screen and follow the prompts.
