1. Installing the Camcorder's Instruction Manual (PDF File)

2. Charging the Battery Pack

Fully charge the supplied battery pack before first use (approx. 7 hours 45 minutes). Connect the compact power adapter to the camcorder and a power outlet, then attach the battery pack. The red POWER/CHG indicator will turn on during charging.

3. Inserting a Memory Card

Use commercially available SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards (Class 4, 6, or 10 recommended). Open the LCD panel, turn off the camcorder, open the memory card slot cover, and insert the memory card at a slight angle with the label facing the lens. Close the cover.

4. Basic Setup

Turn on the camcorder by opening the LCD panel. Follow the on-screen prompts to select language, date/time format, set date and time, choose movie format (AVCHD or MP4), and select memory for recordings.

5. Shooting Video and Taking Photos

Turn on the camcorder, open the lens cover. Press START/STOP to record video. Touch the photo icon to take a photo. Close the lens cover and turn off the camcorder when finished.

6. Playing Back Video and Viewing Photos

Press the playback button. Touch a thumbnail to play back. Touch the screen during playback for controls. To change memory or movie format for playback, touch the index screen button. To delete recordings, touch 'Edit' then 'Delete' and follow prompts.
