Canon U.S.A. provides a limited warranty for defective parts and labor for one year from the date of original purchase.
Getting Started:
1. Connect the power cord to the compact power adapter.
2. Plug the power cord into a power outlet.
3. Connect the compact power adapter to the camcorder's DC IN terminal.
4. Attach the battery pack by sliding it into the unit until it clicks.
5. Charging starts when the camcorder is turned off. The CHARGE indicator flashes during charging and goes out when fully charged.
Inserting and Removing a Tape:
1. Slide OPEN/EJECT and open the cassette compartment cover.
2. Insert the cassette with the window facing the grip belt.
3. Press the PUSH mark until it clicks.
4. Wait for the compartment to retract and close the cover.
Inserting and Removing a Memory Card:
1. Turn off the camcorder and open the LCD panel.
2. Open the memory card slot cover.
3. Insert the memory card straight, label facing up, until it clicks.
4. Close the cover.
