2. Charge the Battery: Use the supplied compact power adapter and battery pack. Full charging takes about 4 hours. The power/charge indicator turns red during charging and turns off when complete.

3. Insert a Memory Card: Ensure the camcorder is off. Open the memory card slot cover and insert a commercially available SD, SDHC, or SDXC card (Class 4, 6, or 10 recommended) with the label side facing down. Close the cover.

4. Basic Setup: Turn on the camcorder. Follow the on-screen prompts to select the language and set the date/time format, date, and time. Touch [OK] to complete.

5. Adjusting the Camcorder: Adjust the LCD panel angle and the built-in stand to suit your shooting style.

6. Shooting Video and Taking Photos: Turn on the camcorder. For photos, switch to photo mode by touching [ ]. Press the start/stop button to begin or end recording or to take a photo.

7. Playback: Press and hold the button until the index screen appears. Touch a thumbnail to play back. During playback, touch the screen to display controls. To delete recordings, go to the index screen, touch [Edit] [Delete], select recordings, and confirm.
