Canon provides a one-year limited warranty on parts and labor for defective materials or workmanship.
Preparing the Camcorder:
- Attaching the Handle Unit: Slide the front of the handle unit into the accessory shoe and slide it forward. Secure with front and rear screws.
- Using the Lens Hood: Align the lens hood mark with the camcorder's mount index mark and turn clockwise.
- Adjusting the LCD Screen: Open the LCD panel 90 degrees and rotate as needed. Brightness can be adjusted via the MENU.
- Using the Viewfinder: Pull out and adjust the viewfinder, then use the dioptric adjustment lever.
- Grip Belt and Straps: Fasten the grip belt and adjust for comfortable reach. Attach optional wrist or shoulder straps.
Troubleshooting and error codes
