Warranty Information

This is a limited one-year warranty covering defective parts and labor for products purchased in the USA and Canada.

Powering the Camcorder: Use the supplied compact power adapter or a battery pack. Connect the adapter to the DC IN terminal or attach the battery pack to the camcorder.

Charging the Battery: Connect the power adapter to the camcorder and plug it into a power outlet. The POWER/CHG indicator will light up red while charging.

Attaching Accessories: Attach the handle unit, lens hood, and microphone holder unit as needed. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.

Using the LCD and Viewfinder: Open the LCD panel to adjust the viewing angle. The viewfinder can also be adjusted for comfortable viewing and diopter settings.

Recording: Select the operating mode and video format (MP4 or XF-AVC). Adjust focus, exposure, white balance, and other settings as required for your shoot.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Possible Cause Solution
Camcorder does not turn on Battery pack is not attached or is depleted. Attach a charged battery pack or connect the compact power adapter.
No image on the screen LCD panel is closed or viewfinder is in use. Open the LCD panel or pull out the viewfinder.
Cannot record video SD card is not inserted, is full, or is write-protected. Insert a compatible SD card, format it, or replace it. Ensure the write-protect tab is not engaged.
Poor image quality Lens is dirty or has fingerprints. Clean the lens with a soft, lint-free cloth. Use the lens hood to reduce flare.
Audio is distorted or too quiet Microphone settings are incorrect or input level is too high/low. Adjust microphone sensitivity, input levels, and use the attenuator if necessary. Check audio input settings.
Error message displayed Various issues, refer to manual. Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section (page 123) in the manual for specific error codes and solutions.
