Basic Operation

This camcorder is designed for intuitive operation. Key functions include:

  • Power: Use the ON/OFF button to turn the camcorder on or off. The POWER/CHG indicator shows the power status.
  • Recording/Photos: Use the START/STOP button for video recording and the PHOTO button (same physical button) for taking still photos. A movie/photo switch is also available.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Camcorder does not turn on Battery pack is not inserted correctly. Insert the battery pack correctly (18).
Battery pack does not charge The camcorder is turned on. Turn off the camcorder before charging (20).
Cannot record video or take photos No recording media is inserted or the media is full. Insert a CFast card or SD card (31). Replace or format the media if it is full (33).
Auto focus does not work Lens surface is dirty. Clean the lens (26).
Condensation forms on the camcorder Sudden temperature change. Allow the camcorder to adjust gradually to temperature changes in an airtight plastic bag (26). Wait 2 hours before resuming use.
Image quality is poor Lens hood is not attached properly or lens is dirty. Attach the lens hood correctly (21). Clean the lens (26).
