Charging the Battery Pack: Connect the power adapter to the camcorder and a power outlet. Insert the battery pack into the compartment until it clicks. Charging starts when the camcorder is off. The red POWER/CHG indicator shows charging, and turns off when fully charged.
Attaching the Lens Hood: Align the lens mount index on the hood with the index on the lens and turn clockwise 90 degrees until it clicks.
Setting Date/Time: Turn on the camcorder. Navigate to the Date/Time screen. Use the joystick or touch screen to select fields (year, month, day, hour, minute) and adjust values. Choose date format and 12/24 hour clock. Press OK to confirm.
