Setting Up Your Camcorder

  • Power: Attach the battery pack or connect the AC adapter. Turn the POWER switch ON.
  • Time Zone, Date, Time: Set these to ensure accurate recording information.
  • Loading Cassette: Slide the OPEN/EJECT switch and insert a MiniDV cassette.
  • Grip Belt: Adjust for comfortable handling.
  • LCD Screen: Rotate and adjust backlight for optimal viewing.
  • Wireless Controller: Insert battery and point at the camcorder's remote sensor.
  • Modes: Use the POWER and TAPE/CARD switches to select CAMERA or PLAY mode.

Recording

  • Movies: In CAMERA mode, press the START/STOP button to begin and end recording. Use the zoom lever for magnification.
  • Still Images: Press the PHOTO button.

Playback

  • In PLAY mode, use the PLAY button to playback cassettes or memory cards. Use the joystick for navigation and control.

Troubleshooting and error codes
