The AC power supply converts facility AC input power (100 to 240 VAC nominal) to –48V VDC for the system. It has an IEC 320/C20 AC inlet. The Cisco 10005 chassis can operate with one or two power supplies for redundancy. Installation involves connecting an antistatic strap, removing a blank cover, setting the power switch to standby, inserting the power supply, securing it with captive screws, connecting the AC power cord, and then powering on. Replacing a power supply follows similar steps but involves powering off the specific unit to be replaced. Troubleshooting covers issues like the system failing to power on or the fault LED being lit.
