The Cisco Valet Connector allows your Windows-based computer to access the Internet wirelessly through a Valet wireless hotspot or other wireless access point. It also provides Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2) encryption for security. To store the cap, push it onto the top of the Valet Connector. The USB Extension Base may improve wireless signal performance and should be connected to a USB port on your computer or laptop. The installation involves inserting the Valet Connector, running the setup software, accepting the license agreement, and following on-screen prompts to connect to a wireless network, entering security keys if necessary.
Troubleshooting and error codes
| Your computer does not recognize the Valet Connector. | Make sure that the Valet Connector is properly inserted into your computer's USB slot and/or USB Extension Base. |
