Basic Phone Features

Placing a Call

  • Using the Handset: Pick up the handset, dial the number, and press the dial soft key.
  • Using the Speakerphone: Press the speaker button (or a line button), dial the number, and press the dial soft key.
  • Using a Headset: With the headset connected, press the headset button (or a line button), dial the number, and press the dial soft key.

Answering a Call

  • Using the Handset: Pick up the handset.
  • Using the Speakerphone: Press the answer soft key or the red flashing line button.
  • Using a Headset: Press the headset button to answer.

Ending a Call

  • Press the endCall soft key or replace the handset.
  • Press the line button if using speakerphone/headset, or the headset button if using a headset.

Microphone Mute

  • Press the microphone mute button to mute. The button will glow red. Press again to unmute.

Call Hold and Resume

  • Press the hold button during a call to place it on hold. The line button will flash red.
  • Press the resume soft key or the flashing red line button to resume.

Conference Calls

  • During an active call, press the right arrow, then the conf soft key to create a new call.
  • Dial the second party's number.
  • When the second party answers, press conf soft key again to join all parties.

Call Transfer

  • Blind Transfer: Press bxfer soft key, dial the number, and press dial soft key.
  • Announced Transfer: Press xfer soft key, dial the number, press dial soft key, announce the call, then press xfer soft key to complete.

Call Forwarding

  • Enable: Press cfwd soft key, enter the number, and press dial soft key.
  • Disable: Press -cfwd soft key.

Redial

  • Press redial soft key, select number, and lift handset or press dial soft key.

Do Not Disturb

  • Press dnd soft key.

Voice Mail

  • Red light indicates new messages. Press the voice mail button or dial 1000 to listen.

Directory

  • Access the directory via the dir soft key. Options include Company Extension Directory and Personal Address Book.

Speed Dials

  • Create up to 8 speed dials (2-9). Access via setup button then Speed Dial.

Volume Adjustment

  • Use the volume button during a call for handset/headset/speakerphone volume, or when idle for ringer volume.

Ring Type

  • Access via setup button, then Ring Tone. Select desired ring type.

Call Park and Retrieve

  • Park: Press park soft key during a call.
  • Retrieve: Press the park position button or dial the retrieval code.

Caller Pickup

  • Dial *8xxx to pick up a specific ringing phone, or *8 to pick up any ringing phone.
