Dash Cam Operation Summary

Starting & Recording: Turn the camera on by pressing the power button. Press the record button to start recording video, indicated by flashing red 'REC'. Press again to stop.

Emergency Recording: While recording, press the record button then the power button to initiate an emergency recording, indicated by a flashing icon. Press the record button again to confirm.

Playback: From the main menu, select 'Playback' and use the navigation buttons to view recorded Action Cam or Dash Cam files.

Settings: Access the main menu to adjust various settings like Wi-Fi, voice recording, auto-record, screen auto-off, and reset options. Advanced settings are available via the mobile app.

Connecting to Devices: Connect to a computer via USB to transfer files or to a TV using a Micro HDMI cable for screen duplication.

App Connectivity: Use the Drive HD™™ App for live view, remote control, video upload, and settings management via Wi-Fi (Local or Cloud connection).

Troubleshooting and error codes

Situation Cause/Solution
Camera cannot turn on Power is low. Recharge battery
Camera is frozen Press and hold for 5 seconds to force shutdown; press again to turn on
Camera cannot record • No microSD card or microSD card is full
• microSD card cannot be recognized
• Format microSD card or replace microSD card
Camera cannot connect to AP or cloud server • Invalid AP name or password
• Weak WiFi signal or not in WiFi coverage
• No internet or cloud server is temporarily unavailable
• Connection may be blocked by a firewall
Smartphone cannot find camera • Camera WiFi is disabled or not in WiFi coverage
• Smartphone WiFi is disabled
• For iOS users, camera name is not selected in WiFi settings
• Tap [Refresh] button on Drive HD™™ App
• Wait 1-2 minutes for WiFi connection to fully establish
• Turn both the phone and camera off, and then try again
Smartphone cannot watch live view • Weak WiFi signal
• Camera is recording
• Camera is connected to another smartphone
Smartphone cannot connect to cloud server Check mobile 3G/4G or WiFi internet connection
Forget camera password Enter camera settings menu and select [Settings] → [Factory Reset] to set to default.
