Operation
| Condition | Possible Cause | Remedy |

| 1. Appliance will not operate. |
1.1 Power outlet or supply is faulty. 1.2 Wrong voltage. 1.3 Electrical fault. |
1.1.1 Check the power supply. 1.1.2 Check the power outlet. 1.2.1 Check that the power supply is the same as that specified on the appliance's rating label. 1.3.1 Electrical parts must only be repaired and replaced by Authorised Service Agents. |
| 2. Appliance stops operating after running for some time. | 2.1 Motor has overheated (safety cutout). | 2.1.1 Wait 30-45 minutes for the motor to cool down. It should restart automatically. If this condition persists, take the cooler to a service agent. |

3.1.1 Turn the comfort control knob to 'on'. 3.2.1 Fill the tank with water until the water reaches the maximum water level mark (13 litres). 3.3.1 Clean the parts. See Maintenance section. 3.4.1 The pump is not a separate electric pump. It is connected to the fan and motor and is driven mechanically. Turn the cooler off and drain the tank completely. Refill with clean water. Switch fan knob to high speed, turn the cool knob to 'on' and run the cooler for 10-15 minutes. This will help to flush out the dirt. The pad should now be wet. If the pad is not wet then the pump is still clogged and you should have the cooler checked by a service agent. 3.5.1 Replace the drive belt. See Maintenance section. |
| 4. Appliance causes an unpleasant odor. |
4.1 Tank or pad is dirty. 4.2 Water quality is poor. |
4.1.1 Drain the tank and fill the cooler with clean water. If the odor persists, clean run the cooler for 10-15 minutes then repeat the process. If the odor still persists, clean the tank and clean or replace the cooling pad. 4.2.1 Add vanilla essence or perfume to the water. |
| 5. Appliance makes scraping or rattling noise. | 5.1 Dirt has built-up in the pump. |
5.1.1 Clean the parts. See Maintenance section. 5.1.2 Replace the drive belt. See Maintenance section. |
