Assembly Steps:
- Identify and lay out all bumper carton parts.
- For installation on LT & YT Lawn Tractors: Ensure the engine is cool. Remove the tractor hood. If present, remove the muffler heat shield. Attach the extension bracket to the rear mounting hole in the frame using a 3/8" x 1-1/2" hex bolt, flat washer, and lock washer. Do not tighten yet. Slide the bumper onto the extension brackets, align slots, and fasten to the frame with two 3/8" x 1-1/2" hex bolts, flat washers, and lock washers. Push the bumper down for hood tilt clearance and then tighten all bolts. Note: If front mounting holes are not suitable, use self-threading bolts. If bolts can be inserted freely, secure with lock washers and hex nuts on the inside of the tractor frame.
- For installation on GT Garden Tractors: Ensure the engine is cool. Remove the tractor hood. Unscrew bolts from mounting holes. If hex nuts are inaccessible, remove the heat shield and slide the muffler down the exhaust tubes. Replace muffler and heat shield after bumper assembly. Fasten the bumper to the frame using four 3/8" x 1-1/2" hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. Do not tighten yet. Push the bumper down for maximum clearance, tilt the hood forward, and then tighten the hex nuts. Note: Similar notes apply regarding self-threading bolts and securing with lock washers and hex nuts.
